Western Michigan vs Central Michigan: Preview
Western Michigan is a seven-point road favorite and the over/under is 56.5 points.
The Broncos are a win away from being bowl-eligible but are on a two-game losing streak.
Western Michigan is led by Hayden Wolff who has thrown for 1,962 yards, 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jaden Nixon has rushed for 869 yards and 12 TDs, while Kenneth Womack has caught 30 passes for 409 yards and a TD.
Defensively, the Broncos are led by Tate Hallock's three interceptions, Corey Walker's 3.5 sacks and Donald Willis' 73 tackles.
Meanwhile, Central Michigan has lost five straight games and won't be bowl-eligible this season.
Chippewas coach Jim McElwain is the subject of an investigation over Connor Stalions allegedly being on their sidelines last year.
"We're totally unaware of it," McElwain said on Nov. 11, via CBS. "I certainly don't condone it in any way, shape, or form, and I do know that his name was on none of the (sideline) passes that were let out."
If McElwain was involved in letting Stalions on the sidelines, it is a major violation. However, the investigation will not be done until next spring.
The Chippewas are led by Marion Lukes who has rushed for 617 yards and five TDs, while Chris Parker has 360 yards and three TDs.
Defensively, they only have two interceptions as a team, Michael Heldman has four sacks and Jordan Kwiatkowski has 82 tackles.
Central Michigan has not played well as of late and will face a motivated Western Michigan team looking to be bowl-eligible.
The Broncos will come out strong and pick apart the Chippewas defense, which has struggled this season. Central Michigan also struggles to score and WMU should cruise to a win.
Prediction: Western Michigan 35, Central Michigan 26
