Gamers across the United States can’t get enough of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game following its eventual release after months of anticipation. Its amazing gameplay has been fascinating to many players, ensuring it lived up to the hype around it.
The game features a lot of offensive plays used in the real world by different football programs. This includes a host of trick plays, which are perfectly designed to give the same experience as a real-world college football game. A notable one in the game is the Flea Flicker.
Here’s a look at how Flea Flicker works in College Football 25.
What is flea flicker play in College Football 25?
A flea flicker is an unconventional and deceptive play in football that is aimed to mislead the opposition defense into believing a run is being executed instead of a pass. This play is an extreme variant of the play-action pass and an extension of the halfback option play.
In the trick play, the quarterback quickly hands off the ball to a running back who runs toward or parallel to the line of scrimmage. The RB, however, laterals the ball back to the QB before reaching the line. The QB then subsequently passes the ball to an eligible receiver.
This trick play can be executed seamlessly in College Football 25. It pretty much ensures the opposition defense is left flat-footed if well orchestrated by the player. It also helps an offense to gain significant yardage if the quarterback is able to locate an eligible receiver with a pass.
Is flea flicker available on every playbook in College Football 25?
Flea flicker is not available on every team's playbook in College Football 25. In fact, it's only available for a handful of teams, which makes the trick play a unique one in the game. There are more than 130 playbooks to choose from in the video game according to EA Sports.
With the video game still in its early days, it can't be confirmed how many teams in the video game in total have flea flicker in their playbook. However, it is a brilliant trick play to make use of in gaining large yardage and scoring touchdowns when it is available on a team’s playbook.
However, flea flicker is available on the playbook of the likes of Auburn, Arizona, Washington, New Mexico and a host of others. It is also available on the multiple alternate playbook. It’s worth noting that many of these teams also as the “Reverse Flea Flicker” trick play.
