Palo Alto, California, will host the first football encounter between Stanford and SMU in 88 years, as the newly minted ACC schools ignite what is likely set to be a recurring series between the California and Texas schools. Currently, the Mustangs are enjoying a strong season, with a 5-1 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in the conference, ranking them No. 21 in the nation. In contrast, Stanford is near the bottom of the ACC with a 2-4 overall record and a 1-2 conference record.

The game can be listened to through KTCK 96.7 FM and 1310 AM for those in the Dallas-Forth Worth metro area. In Silicon Valley KZSU-1 90.1 FM will air the game from Stanford's perspective. Nationwide, you can listen to the game through Sirius XM on channel 193 for the Mustangs broadcast, and channel 371 for Stanford's.

You can watch the game on the ACC Network. The channel is available for streaming through YouTube TV, Hulu+TV Live, fuboTV and Sling. The ACC Network's content is also available on the ESPN App with your cable provider's credentials. However, the game won't be available on ESPN+.


Who's that favorite for SMU vs. Stanford? Odds and recent results

As the No. 21 team in the nation, the SMU Mustangs are the clear favorites for the encounter. ESPN's game predictor is giving the Mustangs an 85.7% chance of winning the game. Odds by ESPN Bet show the Cardinal as a 16.5-point underdog.

In their last game, the SMU Mustangs defeated then No. 22 Louisville 34-27. Their quarterback Kevin Jennings threw for 281 yards, with a QBR of 95.9 but no touchdown passes. However, it was in the running game where Jenning truly distinguished himself with 113 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Stanford comes from a heavy defeat to Notre Dame, 49-7. Quarterback Ashton Daniels only managed to scrap together 74 passing yards. He also ran for 42 yards but put no touchdowns on the board.
