EA Sports College Football 25 has been in the limelight since its release on July 19. One of the more interesting modes in the game is the Road to the CFP.
Since the NCAA has changed the College Football Playoff to a 12-team bracket in the upcoming 2024 season, EA made sure to include the same feature in the video game.
What is the Road to the CFP game mode?
The Road to the CFP mode in College Football 25 includes three-minute online matchups similar to a regular season game. If you manage to win games and defeat tougher opponents, you move up in the rankings and get a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Key factors in determining CFP rankings in College Football 25
Similar to the NCAA's rules for CFP rankings, EA Sports College Football 25 has certain methods to determine your rankings and chances of making it to the playoffs.
Hence, playing conference championships or beating tough opponents can improve your team's rankings. Furthermore, your record against common opponents and head-to-head matchups also play a factor in determining whether you will qualify for the CFP.
Moreover, College Football 25 has a Homefield Advantage mechanic that determines the toughest places to play in the game. The feature recreates the experience of playing away games in the loudest and most intimidating stadiums.
If you can beat teams in difficult conditions, your ranking will improve.
Here are 10 of the toughest stadiums to play (rankings are subject to change in future updates):
- Kyle Field – Texas A&M
- Bryant-Denny Stadium – Alabama
- Tiger Stadium – LSU
- Ohio Stadium – Ohio State
- Sanford Stadium – Georgia
- Beaver Stadium – Penn State
- Camp Randall Stadium – Wisconsin
- Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium – Oklahoma
