Michigan suffered its second defeat of the 2024 college football season to Washington on Saturday. In a rematch of the national championship game in January, the Huskies pulled off a 27-17 victory, adding further woes to the Wolverines’ bid to retain the title.
Sherrone Moore’s team had earlier recorded a 31-12 loss to Texas in Week 2 as the Longhorns blew out the Wolverines in The Big House. The latest loss to Washington outlines the program's struggles to remain a contender in the realm following Jim Harbuagh’s exit.
To make a return to the College Football Playoff this season, Michigan can no longer afford to lose another game in the rest of the regular season. The Wolverines, though, have a few tough games coming their way in the next couple of weeks.
