So, what are the details for the most anticipated Heisman ceremony in the college football season?
What time is the Heisman Trophy ceremony tonight?
The Heisman Trophy ceremony will air at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN as part of an hour-long program where the winner will be announced.
ESPN analyst Chris Fowler will host the event, which will be held at the Lincoln Center in New York City. During the hour-long show, previous Heisman winners, Desmond Howard, Tim Tebow and Andre Ware, will be part of the cast telling the story of the prestigious award alongside analysts, Marty Smith and Holly Rowe.
Who is the favorite for the Heisman?
Although the field started big, the contenders narrowed to the four finalists as the season wound down. Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter led his team to an incredible 9-3 season, narrowly missing out on a spot in the Big 12 championship game and a berth in the College Football Playoff.
Hunter tallied 1,152 yards on 92 receptions for 14 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball while registering 11 pass breakups, 32 tackles, one forced fumble and four interceptions on the defensive side to merit his favorite tag for the trophy according to FanDuel (-2,500).
The next favorite is Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty (+1,500), who has registered 2,497 rushing yards for 29 touchdowns and is only 131 yards away from breaking Barry Sanders' historic 1988 season record of 2,628 yards.
Dillon Gabriel (+25,000) has led the Oregon Ducks to an unbeaten college football season, registering 3,558 yards on 73.2% completion for 28 touchdowns and six interceptions to take his place on the Heisman finalists list. According to FanDuel, the Ducks are also joint favorites for the national championship alongside the Texas Longhorns (+350).
Cam Ward (+25,000) missed out on leading the Miami Hurricanes to the ACC championship game and a place in the playoffs, but he had an outstanding season. He tallied 4,123 yards on 67.4% completion for 36 touchdowns and seven interceptions to merit his place at the Heisman ceremony.
The four players invited to the Heisman ceremony on Saturday are all bound for the NFL via the 2025 draft, where they are expected to be first-round picks.
