Arch Manning has been in the spotlight ahead of the 2024 college football season. The Texas Longhorns quarterback will serve as the backup to Quinn Ewers but could play a critical role for the school. Manning comes from football royalty, as he is the nephew of legendary NFL quarterbacks and multiple Super Bowl winners, Peyton and Eli Manning. His grandfather, Archie, also played in the big league and earned two Pro Bowl honors.

Arch Manning began his high school career in 2019 when he joined Isidore Newman School in New Orleans. He played four years with the Greenies and graduated early in December 2022, so he could enroll at the University of Texas in January 2023.

At the time, Manning explained how graduating a semester early from high school helped him settle in at Texas.

“Graduating early, it’s definitely been a great head start for me,” Manning said. “(Strength) coach (Torre) Becton and his staff have been very helpful. I’ve gotten bigger, faster and stronger. He’s going to push you, and he wants what’s best for you.
"He asks you the first day you’re here, what do you want to do and what are your goals? He’s going to help you get there. That’s his job. He’s the best.”

Across four years as the starting quarterback at Isidore, Manning recorded 8,539 yards and 115 touchdowns on 642 passes. He also posted 19 rushing touchdowns across 42 games. The signal-caller finished with an impressive 33-9 high school record.

Notably, Manning can proudly claim that he surpassed his uncles, Eli and Peyton, in a few high school records. He went past Eli's record of 7,268 career passing yards and Peyton's 93 career touchdowns.

Now, Manning will hope to dominate on the college circuit. He made his debut for Texas on Nov. 24, 2023, during the third quarter against Texas Tech. The quarterback completed two of five passing attempts for 30 yards as the Longhorns crushed the Red Raiders 57-7.

Manning will hope to get more action in his sophomore year at Texas in 2024.
