Jalen Milroe returns to Alabama in 2024 for his senior season in college football. The quarterback made his mark in the program during the 2023 season after earning the starting role. He started slowly but eventually grew his game later as the season progressed.

On the academic side, Jalen Milroe has also done significantly well. He enrolled early in the university as a freshman in January 2021 to start practice with the Crimson Tide team. He graduated from the university in December 2023, earning a degree in business administration and a minor in entrepreneurship.

Milroe will hope to make an impression on the gridiron in the upcoming college football season. Alabama begins life after Nick Saban in 2024 and the quarterback is one of the crucial players that can ensure the success of new coach Kalen DeBoer in Tuscaloosa.

Jalen Milroe on freshman receiver Ryan Williams

Ryan Williams is one of the highly-touted recruits in the class of 2024. The wide receiver will be playing his freshman season at Alabama this fall and Jalen Milroe is excited to work with him as he noted during the SEC media days.

“It's been great to have Ryan on campus. He was a guy that came in the summertime. So for me, it's about good chemistry and getting to know my teammates and that's what happens in the off-season, getting to know my teammates,’ Milroe said.

One of Milroe's top receivers in the previous season Isaiah Bond transferred to Texas this offseason following the exit of Nick Saban. Williams, with his immense talent, comes as a noteworthy replacement.

Tyler Booker believes Jalen Milroe will get better under Kalen DeBoer

Kalen DeBoer built some of the most explosive offenses in college football at Fresno State and Washington. He is expected to replicate this in Tuscaloosa and offensive lineman Tyler Booker believes it will be helpful to Jalen Milroe.

"I feel like it will allow Jalen to be himself, especially the way I've seen coach DeBoer and Jaylen interact," Booker said. "He wants to do what Jalen can do well, build on that, and the other playmakers on offense as well."
“Letting Jalen play his game is the best thing that we can do. Toward the end of the year when Jalen started playing his game and felt more comfortable running, that's when he was at his best."

Kalen DeBoer's offensive system was able to transform Michael Penix Jr. into one of the top quarterbacks in college football at Washington. It could obviously aid in improving Milroe's game next season and present him as a top Heisman Trophy contender.
