The No. 9 BYU Cougars are on pace to compete in a bowl game. BYU is coming off a convincing 37-24 win at the UCF Knights in Week 9. After missing out on a bowl last year, the Big 12 win helped solidify the Cougars' spot in playing in the postseason.

BYU's last four wins came in conference play, including victories over the Arizona Wildcats (3-5, 1-4 Big 12) and the then-No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats (7-1, 4-1). Its record after the Week 9 victory over UCF has made it eligible for a bowl game with four more games left in the regular season.

For BYU (8-0, 5-0), this season will be its first in a bowl game in two years. In 2022, the Cougars ended the regular season with a 7-5 record and faced the SMU Mustangs in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 17, winning 24-23.

In Week 10, BYU will have an open week to allow the team to rest.

College Football Week 11: BYU vs. Utah

The Cougars will play again on Nov. 9 at Rice-Eccles Stadium at the Utah Utes (4-4, 1-4). The Utes will enter Week 11 on a four-game losing streak and are on the verge of losing eligibility to compete in a bowl.

Utah could come into Week 11 motivated to stay in the hunt for a bowl game. A win over BYU would also be a confidence boost. However, the Cougars have the talent in both offense and defense to give Utah a difficult matchup to overcome.
