Fans were saddened when Steve and Loreal Sarkisian took to Instagram to announce the news of their mutual divorce on July 26, 2024. The two married in 2020 before he signed a contract with the Longhorns to become their head coach in early 2021.
The couple has received admiration from fans ever since, owing to Loreal's stylish game-day outfits and her hands-on involvement with the players. The Texas head coach has also opened up about getting styled by his Loreal on game days and thanked her for being a great support system many times in his career.
During an interview with KVUE in 2021, "The First Lady of Texas Football" spoke about her goals in Austin and how she'd like to help the community:
"Being able to provide resources to women and children who may need that help? Whatever that looks like, as well as, obviously, the UT community, you know, being a coach's wife, or just and now a head coach's wife. (0:55)
"I have so many sons, I want to be able to help men grow into better men, as well as be a part of, like, alumni community and donors and, you know, just being accessible to help with whatever needs to be helped to for us to be as successful as we can on and off the field."
Loreal Sarkisian talks about her love for fashion
Loreal Sarkisian is among the most fashionable women in the college football world, owing to her chic game-day outfits paired with luxurious accessories like Chanel bags and Gucci belts.
She has also received praise from both Nick Saban's and Deion Sanders' daughters, Kristen and Deiondra. Loreal has also been seen enjoying fashion shows with big labels like Givenchy and Balmain, among many others.
During the same interview in 2021, Loreal Sarkisian talked about how her love for fashion is rooted in her mother, who was also a styling enthusiast.
"I would go to the fabric store with her, I would pick and, you know, we come home and I watch her, but everything is sitting there. It's like, how could I not? How could it not be embedded that I would have a love for fashion?
"So when I decided I was going to create my own business a little bit -what do I want to do, understanding how pieces go together and like, wanting to see different textures and fabrics being put together. That's kind of what drew me to more of the styling side."
Fans will hope Loreal Sarkisian continues to be a feature at Longhorns games in the upcoming 2024 college football season.
