Drew Allar is a college football player, playing as the starting quarterback for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Drew Allar played for Medina High School and initially received a three-star rating as a recruit. However, his performance during his senior year propelled him to a five-star status by the time he graduated from high school.

In 2022, Allar joined Penn State, where he threw four passes in a game against Purdue. Allar officially took over the role of starting quarterback for the Nittany Lions in the 2023 season. His first play against West Virginia was a success, where he completed 21 of 29 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns, with no turnovers. This performance marked him as the first Penn State quarterback to throw for over 300 yards in his debut since Michael Robinson in 2004.

After enrolling at Penn State in January 2022, Allar served as the backup quarterback during his freshman year and made his debut in the season opener against Purdue, completing two passes for 26 yards after coming in for the injured starter, Sean Clifford. In the 2023 season, Allar took over as the starting quarterback, leading the Nittany Lions to a remarkable season. He completed 233 of 389 passes for 2,631 yards, achieving a completion rate of 59.9%. His performance included 25 touchdown passes against just two interceptions. This season, Allar recorded 2,894 passing yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
