Born on July 3, 2003, Roderick Moore Jr is an American football defensive back for the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA. Moore went to Northmont High School, where as a junior, he recorded 85 tackles, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles. His senior season saw him named All-State, finishing with 68 tackles and an interception in a shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he demonstrated his offensive capabilities by catching 28 passes for 440 yards and eight touchdowns.

Moore clocked a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at a recruiting camp, which contributed to him being rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ranking him as the 12th best player in Ohio. Moore enrolled at Michigan university in 2021 and instantly made a name for himself. His debut came against Penn State, where he recorded six tackles. He continued to build on this performance, notably starting against Ohio State and collecting nine tackles. By the end of the season, Moore had amassed a total of 33 tackles and shared the team’s Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

In the 2022 season, he played 14 games and started in 13. He recorded his first career interception in the season opener against Colorado State and had a standout performance during the Big Ten Championship Game with a career-high 14 tackles. He finished the season with 71 tackles and four interceptions. Moore announced his return for the 2024 season, opting to forgo the NFL draft. However, his season was marred by a torn ACL suffered during spring practice.
