Stephen Nedoroscik claimed his second medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday, winning bronze with a score of 15.300 in the pommel horse final. He previously helped Team USA win the bronze medal in the Gymnastics Artistic Team All-Around on Monday.
Nedoroscik also charmed the internet with his pre-routine ritual on Instagram. He solved a Rubik's cube in under ten seconds, declaring it a "good omen" on the day of his finals, and it proved to be lucky on both occasions. All about Stephen Nedoroscik's gymnastic career
Stephen Nedoroscik began practicing gymnastics in 2003 and continued to hone his skills during school. He dreamed of competing at the top level while attending Worcester Technical High School, where he studied Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
In 2017, after completing high school, Nedoroscik committed to Penn State. He became an instant star at the University when he won the NCAA national championship on the pommel horse during his freshman season.
The gymnast defended his national title the following year, becoming a two-time national champ with the Nittany Lions. In his junior year, he was a runner-up in the NCAA gymnastic championship. Nonetheless, Nedoroscik won his first elite-level title on the pommel horse in 2019, when he finished top of the Winter Cup.
Nedoroscik graduated from Penn State in 2020 and pursued gymnastics professionally, and it has earned him great rewards. In 2021, he won the gold medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships on the pommel horse while representing USA in Kitakyushu, Japan. He also helped Team USA win the gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
Now, Nedoroscik has added two Olympic bronze medals to his collection, having won both at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
