Coming out of high school, Nico Iamaleava decided to commit to playing for the Tennessee Volunteers as a part of the 2023 recruiting class. During his freshman campaign, he served as the backup to Joe Milton.

He was named QB1 of the team during their Citrus Bowl victory over Iowa. Iamaleava recorded 314 passing yards and two TD passes while rushing for 71 yards and three touchdowns.

Kentucky starting QB

The Kentucky Wildcats will have Brock Vandagriff as their starting QB against the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 10. He has been the QB1 in every game for the team this season and has recorded 1,236 passing yards and six TD passes.

Brock Vandagriff began his collegiate career with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2021. Last season, he competed with Carson Beck and Gunner Stockton to be Georgia's starting QB.

However, Beck was named as QB1 of the team. Vandagriff then decided to enter the transfer portal and thus landed with the Wildcats. It will be interesting to see if he can help the team qualify for the bowl games this season.
