Texas A&M Aggies and the USC Trojans started the year with hopes for the College Football Playoff, and the College Station program was much closer to achieving this than the Los Angeles school. Nonetheless, it wasn't meant to be for either team as they go up against each other in the Las Vegas Bowl on Friday night at Allegiant Stadium.
The game will air on ESPN tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET. The announcing crew will include Dave Flemming as the play-by-play commentator, former Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler as the analyst, and Stormy Buonantony as the sideline reporter.
The game is currently considered almost a toss-up, with ESPN Bet favoring the Texas A&M Aggies by only a field goal. However, the network's game predictor is nearly as torn as the bookies, favoring the USC Trojans instead and giving them a 50.8 percent chance of winning.
Texas A&M comes from an 8-4 regular season, which was not enough to take them into the SEC championship game. Had they won their closing game of the regular season against the Texas Longhorns, the Aggies would have played in the SEC championship instead of them. In their last five games, Texas A&M won two and lost three.
Meanwhile, USC ended its season 6-6, including five losses to Big Ten games. The run of defeats included three back-to-back losses to Minnesota, Penn State, and Maryland in the middle part of the season.
How to watch USC vs. Texas A&M? Streaming options for the Las Vegas Bowl
As stated before, the game will be televised by ESPN, so there will be plenty of options to stream it. ESPN can be streamed through Hulu + Live TV, Sling, DirecTV Stream, Vidgo, YouTube TV, and FuboTV. You can also stream the game on the network's streaming service, ESPN+. A final option is using your cable provider's credentials through ESPN.com or the ESPN app.
The game will start at 10:30 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
USC vs. Texas A&M: Head to Head
Given that each school is located in a very different region of the country, the Trojans and the Aggies haven't met much in the past. The schools have only faced each other three times, with USC winning all those games.
The most recent game played in 1977 was also a postseason encounter. It was the Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston, which the Trojans won 47-28.
