Colorado coach Deion Sanders' ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, has become a staple at Buffs games this season to cheer on her sons, safety Shilo and quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Pilar Sanders had three children with Coach Prime after getting married in 1999, with their last born being daughter Shelomi Sanders, who plays for the Buffaloes women's basketball team.
Pilar has been a model since her senior year in high school. In addition, she has been an actress, producer, social media influencer and fitness enthusiast.
As an actress, she appeared in various movies including, "Mod Squad," "Percentages" and "Streets of Blood." When she met Coach Prime, she was part of the show "In the House."
Pilar also founded the charitable organization Essence of Beshalom, a group that seeks to uplift young girls and women.
According to court documents obtained by The Dallas Morning News, answers Pilar gave Coach Prime's lawyers during the divorce indicate why she left her acting career, stating that she did it to stay close to her kids.
“I think I’m a star. Obviously, I would opt for employment that would maximize my time with my children,” Pilar said.
Pilar Sanders supports her kids
Even though she has long been divorced from Deion Sanders, she still frequently appears at Colorado games to support Shilo and Shedeur Sanders. She posts pictures of congratulations for her kids on her Instagram account.
Recently, when the controversial comedian Charleston White seemed to threaten Shedeur Sanders on his channel, Pilar reacted.
“I damn near wanna put $20,000 up on any college player that’ll hurt his son. That muthaf***in' quarterback muthaf***a. Yeah, that slow muthaf***a ain’t goin’ nowhere,” White said.
Pilar took to her TikTok account to reply to the threats:
“So this grown-a*s little guy wants to put a hit out on my son? On my son? Charleston White, let it be known. You puttin’ a hit out on my son?”
Pilar Sanders and Coach Prime's messy divorce
Pilar Sanders and Deion Sanders divorced in May 2013, and it was a messy divorce by all accounts.
She accused the coach of battery and physical abuse against their kids, which led to Coach Prime suing her when she refused to return the kids after her court-mandated visitation was over.
She was even jailed during the court hearings for contempt of the court after declaring that the court had no jurisdiction over her.
According to The Dallas Morning News, she had an interesting answer when she was asked what her name was:
“I am Pilar Sanders Love El Dey Allodial Moorish American.”
Over the years, they have ended up in court several times, although the former couple seems to have come to a truce for the sake of their high-flying, sports-oriented kids.
