Jordan Seaton committed to playing under Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes back in December 2023. The five-star offensive lineman reportedly turned down offers from at least 30 programs—including Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee—before making his decision.

According to Sports Illustrated, Seaton joined the team to play for Coach Prime and help his son, Shedeur Sanders, become a Heisman contender in 2024. Seaton was the 15th-best recruit in the country when he committed to Colorado.

How did Jordan Seaton commit to the Colorado Buffaloes?

Seaton had a unique way of announcing his commitment to play for Colorado in 2024. The 6-foot-5 offensive lineman announced his decision live on "Undisputed" during a Thursday broadcast with Skip Bayless, Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin.

"You've got to believe in Coach Prime. Having the opportunity to play with somebody who's done it at the highest level is truly special. Only a few can say they did that," Seaton said. "I have two Heisman candidates, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, who are amazing. You know how they go. Why aren't you coming to Colorado if you are not rocking with us, and you claim you are a dawg?"

Jordan Seaton will be part of a revamped Colorado offensive line

The Colorado Buffaloes had a nightmarish 2023 college football season where they finished with a 4-8 record. The program gave up 56 sacks and their quarterback, Shedeur, was sacked 52 times. No team makes a proper bowl game push with those numbers.

Hence, Coach Prime went on a mission to improve the Buffaloes' offensive line. It has proven to be a success as the program added Seaton, along with Kahlil Benson (Indiana), Tyler Johnson (Houston), Justin Mayers (UTEP) and Yakiri Walker (UConn) via the transfer portal.

Aside from Seaton, Benson is considered to be another statement addition to the Buffaloes. Benson was Indiana's starting right tackle for every game last season and, according to Pro Football Focus, the Indiana transfer allowed just one sack in 2023—which would be music to the ears of Colorado fans.

The incoming offensive linemen's goal is to protect Shedeur and the rest of the backfield. Once that's done, the Buffaloes' offense will look more potent in 2024.
