One of the most fascinating features of EA Sports College Football 25 is the Ultimate Team. The online gaming feature is a major attraction for many players. However, one of the most popular modes, Solo Battles, is conspicuously absent. Here’s a look at why Solo Battles is not working in the video game.
Why is Solo Battles not working in College Football 25?
Solo Battles were introduced in College Football 25 during its three-day Early Access period, which commenced on Jul. 15. Unfortunately, the mode quickly became inoperative, with players encountering a “Server Maintenance” error when attempting to start a match.
The mode is no longer visible in the menu, which means EA Sports has removed it entirely from Ultimate Team. The publisher had likely done this due to loads of issues affecting many players while trying to access the Solo Battles mode on Ultimate Team.
Aside from the “Server Maintenance” error, Solo Battles also had significant progression issues. This led a lot of players to advance in the Field Pass much faster than expected.
According to reports, a couple of players got promoted to Season Level 20 or higher just after concluding their first Solo Battles match. This has pretty much offered players who were able to access the game during the period of the glitch an unfair advantage in Ultimate Team.
The best solution for EA Sports was to temporarily disable the mode until the glitch is completely resolved.
The indefinite return of Solo Battles in College Football 25
Solo Battles will likely make a return to College Football 25 Ultimate Team when EA Sports completely fixes the issues around it. The time frame for this is unknown but it's not expected to take too long before the Solo Battles mode is available once again.
Until then, players can enjoy other available modes in Ultimate Team, including Challenge and Solo Season. With many players considering Solo Battles as the most exciting mode in Ultimate Team, it is expected that EA Sports will bring it back much better while ensuring a seamless experience for players.
