The three-star athlete from Downingtown started his collegiate football journey with Kansas State Wildcats but also received offers from top programs like Cincinnati, Harvard, Maryland, Minnesota, Duke, North Carolina, Kent State, Yale and Penn State.

In his 2020 freshman season, Howard saw action in only nine games and threw for 1,178 yards and eight touchdowns on the year.
