Will Joe Taylor play against Texas Longhorns today? The latest update on Michigan's WR

Joe Taylor is a senior wide receiver and is also part of the special teams squad for the Michigan Wolverines. Taylor is in his senior year and is looking to impress in the 2024 college football season in order to boost his draft stock.

Let's take a look at whether the Wolverines pass catcher will be available against the Texas Longhorns.

Will Joe Taylor play against the Texas Longhorns today?

According to Hook'em Headlines, Joe Taylor is currently listed as questionable to play against the Longhorns. Taylor is one of three Wolverines that appear on the injury report ahead of the matchup.

Michigan safety Rod Moore suffered an ACL tear during spring practice. Moore has been ruled out of the game, and it's unlikely that he'll participate in the 2024 regular season in what should have been his breakout year. Another injury concern is quarterback Jack Tuttle. Former Indiana transfer quarterback Tuttle is rehabbing an elbow injury. The injury caused him to miss the Wolverines' Week 1 victory over Fresno State.

How to watch Michigan vs Texas

Two of the top ten-ranked programs will face off for just the second time on Saturday. The last time Michigan and Texas met was on January 1, 2005, when the Longhorns narrowly defeated the Wolverines 38-37 thanks to a last-gasp field goal.

Almost twenty years later, both sides are fresh off College Football Playoff appearances. The Wolverines went all the way, while Texas was defeated by Washington in a close-fought semifinals game.

Here's how to watch the game:

  • Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
  • Live stream: FuboTV and DAZN
  • Time: 12 p.m. EDT
  • TV: FOX
  • Venue: Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Both teams come into the game off of victories. During Week 1, the Wolverines defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Longhorns beat the Colorado State Rams.

It's Davis Warren at QB for Michigan versus Texas' Quinn Ewers at quarterback, with both signal callers aiming to make an impact early in the season. That should make for a phenomenal contest in Michigan on Saturday.
