The Wuerffel Trophy is a collegiate football trophy that is given annually "to who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement." The trophy was designed by an American painter and sculptor named W. Stanley "Sandy" Proctor (2006), who was also enlisted in the Florida Artists Hall of Fame. It was honored to Danny Wuerffel who was a collegiate quarterback for the Florida Gators. He kneeled down after scoring a touchdown, which is the significance of the trophy.
