Xavier Johnson is a wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). His journey began in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he attended Summit Country Day High School. Johnson’s impressive high school stats included 32 receptions for 766 yards and 8 touchdowns, 623 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, and a 99-yard interception return. He was also a four-year starter in basketball. Despite offers from multiple schools, Johnson chose to walk on at Ohio State in 2018.

In 2022, Johnson had a breakout moment in Ohio State’s biggest games, scoring a 24-yard touchdown reception against Notre Dame and a 37-yard touchdown in the Peach Bowl against Georgia, featuring an impressive 360-degree spin move. He finished his career at Ohio State with a master’s degree in translational data analysis, adding to his undergraduate degree in consumer and family financial services.

In 2024, Johnson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent. He initially signed with the Buffalo Bills but was released during final roster cuts on August 27, 2024. However, two days later, Johnson was signed to the Houston Texans’ practice squad.
