There have been a lot of rumors swirling around the Colorado Buffaloes. On Monday, X parody account Wesley Steinberg claimed that quarterback Shedeur Sanders has no interest in playing for two different NFL teams. Instead, Deion Sanders will demand Shedeur go to a big market team.
Coach Prime, who has a net worth of $45 million (per Celebrity Net Worth), responded to the fake rumor with a tweet.
Fans clowned Sanders for saying he had time today.
"Have less time today to silence the haters. You guys sucked," one wrote
"You have time because you lost every important game so your vacation started early," a fan said.
"You got time because your s**t a** team is done for the season," another replied.
Others interpreted this as a response to a parody account's tweet suggesting that Shedeur Sanders had no interest in playing for either the Cleveland Browns or the Tennessee Titans.
"Listen... we all know Prime is going to set the record straight, BUT would anyone want their son going to one of those teams? Your rookie contract they get you at a discount, but they don't protect you or give you weapons. If I were Shedeur I'd rather go #11 to a good team," one person said.
"Respect keep that man out of TN unless the team is sold," one said.
Where is the most likely landing spot for Shedeur Sanders?
The New York Giants still appear to be the best fit for quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He has shown the ability to play under scrutiny, being the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and excelling on the field. That scrutiny is going to help him do well when dealing with the New York media.
He completed 353-of-477 (74.0%) of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2024.
The Giants have their system of how they want a quarterback to play and Sanders fits the mold as he is a more traditional, pocket passer. With the offensive skill position players of wide receivers Malik Nabers and Jalin Hyatt, getting a strong quarterback like Sanders would be the best and most likely landing spot.
