Fast X: The important cameo of Paul Walker’s daughter explained

The Fast X movie was filled with cameos. It brought multiple new and familiar faces into the mix as Brie Larson played Mr. Nobody’s daughter, Tess, Jason Momoa came in as the big bad villain, Dante; and Alan Ritson was seen as the new leader of the agency, Aimes.

Besides these bigger names, others appeared in the film in cameos and smaller roles. One of those was the late Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker Thornton-Allan. The 24-year-old finally got to follow in her father’s footsteps and make her debut in The Fast Saga.

Meadow Walker Thornton-Allan’s cameo in Fast X

On her recent Instagram post, Meadow Walker Thornton-Allan revealed a glimpse of her cameo in Fast X. Not much is known about her character. However, she played a flight attendant who turned out to be one of Jakob Toretto's. She helped Jakob and Little B escape from a running flight by arranging a small aircraft for the two. It was a short, sweet, and important role that served a bigger purpose.

It will be interesting to see whether she gets a bigger role in Fast 11. But since Jakob died and she was Jakob's ally, it might have been a one-off appearance. If not her, however, we might see her father's character return in a similar way to how James Wan did in Furious 7.

Will Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor also return?

While Paul Walker cannot return, his character, Brian O'Connor, can still be recreated with the help of Cody Walker, Caleb Walker, and some good old CGI. Director Louis Leterrier has already teased Walker’s return to the franchise. While speaking with Total Film about Fast X, he said:

“You will see Brian in the past, you won’t see Brian in the present. It’s something that everybody has to be on board with. The Walker family is still very much a part of this franchise, you’ll see how in this movie.

He continued to stress the fact that Brian's return has to happen when the time is right:

It just has to be the right moment, the right tone. I think what James Wan did at the end of 7 was perfect. The tone was perfect. Brian has to re-enter the franchise as perfectly as he left it.”

So clearly, there seems to be a plan to bring Brian back, and it could happen in the opening of Fast 11 because the tone is right at this time when Dom needs him the most!

Fast X ended with a major cliffhanger, leaving Dominic Toretto and Little Brian in danger of dying. But Dom is supposed to survive, as he is confirmed to appear in Fast 11. So, it is likely that we will see Paul Walker’s Brian O’Connor be brought back to save Dom and his son.

This sort of triumphant return would serve Brian’s character arc perfectly, as he would get to save the day and leave the audience thrilled with joy.

Fast 11 arrives sometime in 2025.
