Guardians 3 theory: The High Evolutionary could have easily saved the Universe from Thanos

Guardians 3 introduced another great villain to the MCU with the High Evolutionary. He is believed to be in the league of Thanos, who is a villain that many viewers relate to. However, unlike The Mad Titan, the High Evolutionary angered viewers by making them hate his actions.

But with his resources, he could have easily saved the Universe from Thanos and also fulfilled his goal of creating the perfect species. Guardians 3 showed us exactly how the High Evolutionary could have helped Thanos achieve his goals without killing half the Universe.

How the High Evolutionary would have countered Thanos

With the growing population of Titan, the planet suffered a scarcity of resources, which led to its destruction. To counter the shortage, Thanos suggested the idea of random genocide so that half of his planet could survive. However, he was called a madman and got banished from Titan.

Ultimately, what he predicted turned out to be true. So, to save the rest of the Universe from the same fate as Titan, he started to wipe out half of the populations moving from planet to planet. But then, he found a faster way to do that by collecting all six Infinity Stones. So, he assembled his Infinity Gauntlet and snapped his fingers to wipe out half the population of the entire universe.

But to this date, it is argued that instead of killing 50% of living beings, Thanos should have just doubled the resources so that there was enough for everyone. However, counter-arguments made by directors Joe and Anthony Russo suggested that doing that was never possible, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 gives us a fix for that.

In his pursuit of perfection, the High Evolutionary created multiple different species in an era when Thanos was trying to wipe out half of all living beings. In a way, he was sort of anti-Thanos, which is why the Mad Titan should have fought him at some point. Maybe if he did that instead of killing the Guardians 3 villain, he could have gained his ability to create more planets.

The High Evolutionary provided the solution that Thanos needed

In a dying universe with limited resources, Herbert Wyndham found a way to create a planet called Counter-Earth. Even OrgoCorp’s headquarters was made out of bio-form living matter that kept growing. Clearly, he had a way to create planets and he was even going to put his new species of Star Children on another eutopia.

Once Thanos would have seen High Evolutionary’s ability to create resources, he would have seen the flaw in his own plans. Instead of wiping out half populations, all he had to do was team up with Herbert or forcibly recruit him.

Thanos himself is a pretty knowledgeable being. He and his Black Order were able to recreate Pym Particles in abundance by just finding one small vile of it. So, he would have certainly figured out High Evolutionary’s way of creating planets like Counter-Earth. Then both he and High Evolutionary would have put all their resources into creating planets organically.

There could have been a possibility that instead of Thanos going after High Evolutionary, the latter could have gone to the former. The Guardians 3 villain could have convinced Thanos that his plan of creating new planets could work. Either way, the High Evolutionary’s ability to create planets could have saved the Universe.

After that, all that he and Thanos had to do was transport half of the people from planets like Earth to the new ones they created. That’s how the universe could have been saved from Thanos’ snap.
