A brief recap of Monsters at Work season 2 episode 7 & 8
Episode 7 kicked off with Tylor arriving at Monsters Inc. with cold feet because he presumed that his colleagues would still be mad about the last softball game. However, Tylor’s setback was overlooked, given Mike and Sully had other plans, where they introduced a secret basement in the building.
Before Mike and Sully would have begun with their surprising tour of the mysterious floor, everyone was scared of the rumored monster named Karloff the Shrieker. As per the lore, Karloff hated laughter, and anyone who would have shown such expression ended up meeting his wrath. With that, everyone decided to avoid laughing to be safe.
Later, Mike and Sully showed around their employees, the first Monsters Inc. door station, and asked them to suggest areas of improvement, which didn’t go well. Suddenly, the duo vanished into thin air after laughing, which proved that Karloff was still lurking around. The group decided to catch Karloff instead of running away.
After an effective plan, they eventually managed to trap the rumored monster. However, to everyone’s surprise, Karloff was none other than Mike and Sully, who successfully pranked their employees.
Episode 2 saw Jack and Jill arriving at the Monsters Inc. facility to interview Mike and Sully and give a tour to the viewers. Elsewhere, during the celebration of Val being promoted to a jokester, everyone learned that there had been an incident at the laugh floor. Someone vandalized the room and painted graffiti all over it.
Tylor discovered that there was something fishy about Rogers, who had been acting weird lately. Together with Val, Tylor followed Rogers everywhere and they even found him talking to someone, presumably the mastermind behind all this.
While Mike and Sully did their best to stall the TV anchors, the entire team of Monsters Inc. joined forces to organize the room and cover the graffiti with spare doors.
However, due to a little accident, all efforts went in vain, giving Jill the opportunity to make fun of Monsters Inc. Eventually, Tyler came rushing into the scene with documents proving Rogers was Waternoose’s son. Surprisingly, Suly knew about this. In the end, Tyler was framed for being the actual saboteur. Tyler left the company with his belongings and immediately contacted Johnny.
