27 year old Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja got married to his fiancee Riva Solanki yesterday in Rajkot. Earlier, Jadeja got engaged to the 25-year old city-based mechanical engineer at an engagement function in his restaurant, Jaddu’s Food Field on the 5th of February. They had exchanged rings and gold bracelets at the engagement ceremony.
The Gujarat Lions all-rounder missed the match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday as he was getting all set for his big day.
Jadeja wore a 'Sherwani' and 'Kathiawadi saafa'. He was seen riding a horse with a sword dangling by his side, looking totally at ease during the marriage procession.
Riva was looking resplendent in a a red and golden bridal lehenga with ethnic Gujarati embroidery. She teamed up her wedding attire with the traditional gold jewellery having minarki detailing.

The marriage was conducted in traditional 'Kshatriya' style, with relatives and friends attending it, even though Jadeja’s team-mates from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Gujarat Lions could not make it on time for the rituals. However, the team members, including Dwayne Bravo, skipper Suresh Raina, among others, arrived in time for the reception.
Players and office bearers from Saurashtra Cricket Association also attended the marriage.
