One of the greatest spinners in the history of the game, Saqlain Mushtaq’s ODI career lasted from 1995-2003. During this period, Pakistan took 1177 ODI wickets. Saqlain’s career ended prematurely at the age of just 27 but he took 288 of the 1177 ODI wickets (24.47%) from 169 ODIs.
He averaged 21.78 in ODIs and had 6 five-wicket hauls to his name which is the third-most five-wicket hauls for any spinner in ODI history. The off-spinner’s final five-wicket haul of 5/20 against England at Rawalpindi in 2000 is his best figures in ODI cricket.
