Irfan Pathan

As a 19-year-old, Irfan Pathan made his debut for India against Australia down under and the left-arm seamer was quite successful in his debut series and the subsequent tour of Pakistan.
Pathan broke into the scene as a 16-year-old in the 2000-01 season for Baroda and went on to play the under-19 World Cup a couple of years later (19 January-9 February 2002). After his first few years, he was hailed as India's replacement for Kapil Dev and that joy short-lived as Irfan lost his way, thanks to the injuries that plagued his career.
He was a part of the Indian squad that won the 2007 World T20 and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. In 2006, he also became the second Indian to register a Test hat-trick when he dismissed Salman Butt, Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf in the first over of a Test match in Karachi.
