Ravichandran Ashwin
Back in 2014, R Ashwin was one of the key components in the bowling arsenal as India looked to give him more opportunities, As the days and years passed by, he began to become better as a bowler in Test cricket, but his stocks in the limited-overs format began to decline steadily.
In the Champions Trophy last year, Ashwin played in the last three games for India, but it was in the final where he went for 70 runs in his 10 overs without taking a wicket which proved to be the death knell for him in coloured clothing.
He has found himself out of favour in white-ball cricket in the last 12 months and it remains to be seen when he would get another opportunity to represent India in those formats.
Ravindra Jadeja
The other half of the pairing with Ashwin, Jadeja, too, will not feature in the limited-overs series this time around as India bank upon Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal to perform the spin bowling duties.
Jadeja will hope that post the tour of England, he does get another chance to deliver in white-ball cricket for India.
