Worst economy rate in an innings
Among bowlers who have bowled at least one over, Stuart Binny holds the record for the worst economy rate in a single innings. An economy rate of 32 was what the Indian all-rounder finished with, in the T20I between India and West Indies at Fort Lauderdale in August 2016.
In a game that saw nearly 500 runs being scored, the all-rounder bowled just one over and was smashed for five sixes by Evin Lewis. The other ball went for a single and there was a wide as well. Binny, who had conceded 32 runs, didn't bowl another over in the match that was eventually lost by India.
James Neesham and Mohammad Shahzad both finished with an economy rate of 36 in a T20I but on both occasions, they bowled just a solitary delivery and were hit for six.
