Most extras in a match
The record for most extras in a T20I match was created in the first match of 2007 World T20 between West Indies and South Africa. In a match that saw over 400 runs being scored, a century from Chris Gayle and 90 from Herschelle Gibbs, extras finished as the fourth-highest scorer in the match, just behind Justin Kemp's 46 and with over 10 percent of the runs in the match.
South Africa accounted for 17 extras while West Indies delivered 28. In total, there were 35 wides (world record for most wides in a match), two no balls and eight leg byes.
The record for most extras in an innings also came during a West Indies-South Africa match. In January 2008, West Indies mustered just 131/7 after being put in to bat at Johannesburg. Although South Africa bowled just 5 wides and 0 no balls, courtesy of 15 byes and 9 leg byes, there were 29 extras in the innings.
Darren Bravo with 24 was the second-highest scorer for West Indies behind extras, which top-scored with 29. This was also one of only three instances in T20Is where extras finished as the highest run-scorer in an innings.
