#8 Injury-laden career
Fast bowlers often cause discomfort to the batsman with terrifying pace, but most of them also cause discomfort to their own body. Well, Pat Cummins is no different. The New South Welshman has endured serious injuries in his short-lived career. In spite of tasting success on debut in all the formats of the game, the Aussie quick just has 47 international appearances.
Early on in his career, Cummins was plagued with stress fractures and it constantly curtailed his run in the national team. After battling through the initial set of injuries, he was part of the ODI series against England in 2015 where he suffered a lower lumbar stress fracture and was ruled out for over a year.
After a gap of nearly 20 months, he returned to the international side in the series against New Zealand last month.
