International matches in the 'Orange City' are now played at the stadium located in Jamtha.

But before that venue started hosting games, matches were played at the old VCA ground, where several memories have been created.

Out of the 12 ODIs that India played here, they won six of them, losing the other six between 1985 and 2007.

The Test matches played at this venue usually were dull affairs with five out of the nine matches ending in draws and India winning two of the remaining four.

Sreesanth made both his ODI and Test debut at this venue and Chetan Sharma picked up the first-ever World Cup hat-trick against New Zealand in 1987 here itself.
