#1 Dinesh Karthik
The Tamil Nadu wicket-keeper batsman has been around for more than a decade. Every time it seems Dinesh Karthik's career will take off, he is dropped from the side. This World Cup too, Karthik had to sit on the sidelines for several games before he got his chance against Bangladesh.
The biggest problem with Dinesh Karthik has been his inability to convert starts into big hundreds. Despite playing international cricket for close to 15 years, he has scored only one century for India. Attractive twenties and thirties are just not enough to establish a player on the big stage and this has come to bite Karthik.
With Rishabh Pant labeled as MS Dhoni's successor behind the stumps and KL Rahul, who is on the verge of cementing his place in the ODI side an able keeper himself, India are unlikely to turn back to Karthik again.
