As another year draws to a close, we've seen many events - sporting and non-sporting, shared across social media.
Here are some of the top tweets - funny, happy and then some, from this year:
At England's second ODI against India, Jasprit Bumrah took a howler of a throw:
New Zealand toured India in October this year, with the 2nd ODI of the series taking place in Pune. Before any play however, the series was marred by allegations that the pitch curator had been in contact with bookies.
During Australia's tour of India in February, the guests' batsman Matt Renshaw put up a big innings, but his stomach certainly didn't agree with him and his own one-time teammates used the opportunity to make plenty of jokes:
Here's Ishant Sharma's now classic face mocking Australian skipper Steve Smith:
Steve Smith will never live down his "brain-fade" moment at this year's Border-Gavaskar Trophy:
It wasn't just Indians who spoke out against him, with Australian icon Adam Gilchrist also unhappy:
That Test was not a good one for Australia... and players made sure to make their feelings felt.
India took a 3-0 lead and a series win in their ODI jaunt against Sri Lanka at Dambulla, while local fans threw bottles at the pitch.
Former skipper MS Dhoni was cool as ever and chose to lie down on the field till the ruckus passed.
Social media, of course, had a field day...
India routed Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, and fans were merciless:
The ICC got in on the game..
And a bit of praise for MSD:
India outclassed Bangladesh completely at the Champions Trophy this year, and several players - Kohli, Dhawan and Rohit Sharma - were in the news.
That Sachin Tendulkar is a member of the Rajya Sabha is a known fact - what is less often seen is the cricket legend in attendance there.
Being considered a cricketing 'God' certainly does not make you immune to jokes - and Twitter delivered:
"Virushka"
With rumours hitting fever pitch, star couple Virat Kohli and his longterm partner Anushka Sharma tied the knot privately in Italy - and after the event and press speculation, marked that with a touching statement on social media.
Australia routed England at the Ashes and how! Cricket Australia have been cheeky on Twitter, and captain Steve Smith looked mighty pleased about his haul!
We're not sure if this one was accidental... or very intentional!
Sri Lanka toured India little over a month ago, and the first Test, at Kolkata's Eden Gardens,, was marred by bad light. In fact, India may even have won that Test, with not many wickets to go, but low light and poor visibility saw the end of day's play called early - leading to a draw.
Fans weren't happy:
The ODI leg of Sri Lanka's Tour of India was underway, and the visitors were suffering in the capital as a result of New Delhi's serious pollution problem. Social media users mocked this as well:
With Virat Kohli pushing to play on despite this, people tweeted about the skipper too:
