The Kia Oval in London has a capacity of 25,500 and will play host to five matches in the 2019 World Cup. The Oval has hosted 66 ODIs till date.
New Zealand have the record of scoring the most runs in an innings at the Oval when they scored a mammoth 398 against England in 2015. The Oval has become a high scoring ground in the past few years. Evin Lewis holds the record for the highest individual score at the Oval when he scored a brilliant unbeaten 176 against England in 2017.
Umar Gul has the best bowling figures there when he picked up six wickets for 42 runs against England in 2010. The Oval recently hosted the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy and will host the first match in the 2019 World Cup.
The 2019 World Cup will see Oval hosting five matches which are as under:
30th May 2019- England vs South Africa (First match of the 2019 World Cup)
2nd June 2019- Bangladesh vs South Africa
5th June 2019- Bangladesh vs New Zealand (Day/Night)
9th June 2019- Australia vs India
15th June 2019- Australia vs Sri Lanka
