#4 Eoin Morgan
As has been the case in the series thus far, Morgan got a start but did not go on to convert his start into a bigger score. He has not made over 20 in his last 7 innings though he has crossed 15 4 times in them. However, he looked in good touch in the ODI as his 19 included a six and two fours and England will be hoping Morgan steps up with a captain’s innings.
#5 Jos Buttler
One of the only positives for England in the 1st ODI was Buttler still being in good form as he scored an all-important 50. The team has been reliant on his performances in limited overs cricket particularly to get them a good finish in the last 10 overs and if the top order fares better in the next game, Buttler can go berserk without worrying about the batting order to come.
#6: Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes struggled against Kuldeep’s bowling as he played and missed numerous times outside off against the stock delivery of the left armer. However, he showed good tenacity and resilience as he batted 103 balls, but will be looking to find the fence more often in the next game. He had an average bowling stint as well, going for 27 runs in the 4 overs he bowled.
