#3 Most wickets by an Indian spinner in a single edition of Asia Cup
Tendulkar had the ability to break partnerships. The only problem with his bowling was his lack of consistency, but he seemed to have sorted that in the 2004 Asia Cup.
The versatile spinner picked up 12 wickets in just six matches at an exceptional bowling average of 12.25. Tendulkar picked at least one wicket in each of the five innings where he got an opportunity to bowl. In the process, he broke the record of most wickets taken by an Indian spinner in a single edition of the Asia Cup.
He is placed second in the list of most wickets taken by an Indian in an Asia Cup, behind Irfan Pathan, who leads the chart with 14 wickets. Tendulkar also scored 281 runs with the bat to help India reach the final, where they lost to Sri Lanka.
