Chris Gayle looks like a beast while batting and has successfully brought his ODI or T20 attacking style into Test cricket. He likes to go after the bowlers from the get-go and hardly plays out dot balls. Hence, the fast bowlers fear bowling to him due to his intent to smash them all over the park from the first ball itself. Gayle has scored lots of runs for the West Indies in Test cricket.

Against India, Gayle has managed to score 738 runs in 25 innings at an average of 30.75. His highest score has been 88 and he has not managed to score a century against them till now. He has a weakness against off-spin bowlers and has been dismissed quite a lot of times by quality Indian off-spinners Harbhajan and Ashwin.

Hence, due to the above reasons, Gayle hasn't been able to score a century against India in Test cricket so far.
