#2 Deepak Chahar
Yet another in-form bowler who is unfortunate to miss out in the Test squad. He has been doing well since IPL. He was included in the India A side for a tri-series against English lions and West Indies A. He showed his quality in higher level by taking 14 wickets in just six matches which earned him a maiden call-up in India in T20s against England.
Considering the drama over Bhuvi's aggravated back injury, Chahar should have replaced him already in the Indian tests. He could be a viable option in place of Bhuvneshwar to play for India in tests when later is absent.
The 25-year-old is a very good swing bowler who is able to impart the same work what could Bhuvi's do. He is not new to the scene, he has taken 100+ wickets in the first class games. When India misses the service of Bhuvi and Bumrah, India needs to draft a real good Swing bowler into the side.
He comes with all the options that Bhuvi could provide. He is a handy batsman, can bat down the order to lengthen the innings as long as possible. Selectors will be forced to pick Chahar if Bhuvi's injured back refuses to allow him to play further. This script would give Deepak a chance to showcase his prowess with the red cherry in the last two tests.
