#2 Mohammed Siraj
After his successful IPL spell with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Siraj had a tough start to his limited-overs international career as he went for a lot of runs. After being picked by RCB for IPL 2018, Siraj had a decent stint with the team from Bangalore.
However, in all the games with India A this year, Siraj has stood out as the No.1 bowler. He picked a lot of wickets which led him to be picked for the two-match test series against West Indies.
However, Shardul Thakur made his debut which meant that Siraj had to wait longer to be an Indian Test player. Siraj can easily debut for India next year if he continues his form in the domestic games.
#1 Mayank Agarwal
Mayank Agarwal has probably been the unluckiest cricketer in India this year. Despite scoring runs in almost every domestic game that he has played, Mayank was denied an opportunity to showcase his talent on the international level. He along with Prithvi Shaw was selected for the home series against West Indies with only one of them expected to make their debut in the first game.
Prithvi Shaw was chosen and his debut century delayed India's debut. Murali Vijay has replaced Mayank Agarwal for the tour down under which means that Mayank will find it difficult to make his debut this year. He will have to start it all over again in Ranji Trophy to be back in the reckoning.
