#2 Smriti Mandhana (Brisbane Heat)

Smriti Mandhana played for Brisbane Heat in the second edition of the WBBL. She became the second Indian player to play for a WBBL club. Mandhana made her international debut at a young age of 16 and has played 44 ODIs and 52 T20Is for the Indian team. She is now the vice-captain of Indian T20 side.
She had a poor WBBL as she scored just 89 runs in 12 matches for the Brisbane Heat with the highest score of 40 coming against Hobart Hurricanes. She picked up 3 wickets with the best bowling of 2 for 6. She showed her talent in the field by taking 4 catches to her name. In 2018 she played for Western Strom in the Kia Super League. She was the top scorer of the league with 421 runs to her name. She scored two fifties and a hundred in the nine innings she played. As a result of her performance in Kia Super League, she was awarded a contract to play for Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL replacing her compatriot Veda Krishnamurthy for the 4th edition of WBBL.
