While it still might be early days to discuss the Indian squad for next year's World Cup, selectors are already planning and working out the best combinations. The early release of the team touring England was to give some players opportunities on the international stage and see how they handle the pressure of being in the national team and watching them deal with tough situations.
While the team is a strong team, it's an experimental team at best with more changes likely to be made before the World Cup in 2019.
Here we look at 3 players in the squad for the tour of England who will most likely miss out on a place in the 2019 World Cup squad.
#3 Shreyas Iyer
Delhi Daredevils new captain and leader, Shreyas Iyer has been in good form in the IPL this season and thus, has won himself a place in the national team squad that will tour England.
Named in the ODI squad, the middle order batsman will have to take full advantage of his call-up and try to cement his place in the Indian team. While the player has all the abilities to make it to the top and stay there, he could fall short of a place in the 2019 World Cup. Iyer has appeared in 6 ODI's and 6 T20I's in his career so far scoring 210 runs and 83 runs respectively in the two formats.
With a number of experienced players also fighting for their spots in the team, with the likes of the Pandya brothers, Ambati Rayudu, and KL Rahul, to name a few, they will all be eager to stake their claim. The 23-year-old Iyer will need to produce some spellbinding innings for over a year to claim a spot in the national team for a place in the World Cup squad.
#2 Washington Sundar

18-year-old spin sensation, Washington Sundar has enjoyed a fruitful start to his career, earning a call-up to the Indian squad for the tour of England. While the young spinner has produced some good performances with the ball, he's quite handy with the bat as well. Pushing for a place in the squad for next year, he is hot on the heels of Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Ravi Ashwin and every other Indian spinner as well.
While the tour of England will be a great learning experience for the youngster, Sundar will be hopeful of producing some good displays on English soil. The first major test of his international career, he will need consistent performances to throw his name in the hat for 2019. Having appeared in 1 ODI and 6 T20Is, Sundar has a wicket in his only ODI appearance and 9 in the shortest format.
However, his chances of making it to the Indian team in 2019 look bleak at the moment given the wealth of talent and experience at the selectors' disposal. Even if Sundar does produce good performances over the next year, he still could miss out on the squad due to inexperience.
#1 Siddharth Kaul

Siddharth Kaul has been rewarded for his brilliant form recently with a call-up to the national team for the tour against England. The medium pacer has been brilliant in the IPL this season for SRH, picking up 14 wickets in 14 league games.
Kaul, now 28, has fought his way back into contention in the Indian fold, although his selection for the World Cup seems unlikely unless he produces some match-winning performances in England.
Kaul and Rashid Khan have been superb and spearheaded the Hyderabad franchise into the playoffs and will look to seal their second IPL title in three years.
