Cummins should also consider bowling from closer to the wicket to give himself a chance of getting more LBW scalps. He has a great strike rate of 51 in Test matches, and could well produce a match-winning performance in Melbourne.
The ball is expected to skid on the MCG pitch as the match progresses, and this might help Cummins a lot. His cross-seamed deliveries with the old ball should prove to be a handful for the Indian batsmen in Melbourne.
However, Cummin has not bent his back enough in this series so far, and might want to test the Indian batsmen with his bouncers occasionally.
