Royal Challengers Banglore will look to clinch their first title in IPL 2019. They have been a disappointment for their fans since this tournament has started. They have had plenty of superstars in the past seasons but have not been able to capitalize upon it.

Every season provided them with a new opportunity but they have somehow choked at crucial stages in every season. They will have the opportunity to finally make up for those mistakes as they look to win their first title this season.

They retained their key players before going into the IPL auction. The likes of Virat Kohl, AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Pawan Negi, Washington Sundar, and Tim Southee were some of the stars which were retained by the franchise.

They also traded Marcus Stoinis from Kings XI Punjab. They bought the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, and Akshdeep Nath among many others in the auction.

They have well-balanced squad going into the season but we will look at 3 players who can have to lead them to their first IPL trophy:

#1 Virat Kohli

The Indian skipper will have to lead the orange army from the front again.

Virat Kohli has been the face of RCB for a long time now. The fans know what Kohli brings to the table. He is one of the best-limited overs cricket batsmen in the world right now. He plays hard and gives his all every time he is on the field.

He has led India to some memorable victories over the past few years but one accolade that is still missing from his trophy cabinet is IPL trophy. He has not been able to lead his team to an IPL trophy but has been their best performer almost every season.

He was their highest run scorer for his side last season as he scored 530 runs in 14 innings. He is an outstanding captain and an excellent fielder which adds to what he offers on the field. If he can motivate his teammates and bring the best out of them while also contributing with the bat, RCB will have a huge chance of winning the title for the first time.

#2 AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers will have to lead from the front.
AB de Villiers will have to lead from the front.

AB de Villiers has been a key figure for this franchise for a long time now. He is a player totally capable of winning games on his own. He has already retired from International cricket which means he will arrive in peak condition and give his 100% to the team as he usually does.

He was their second-highest run scorer after Virat Kohli last season as he made 480 runs in just 11 innings. He is more than capable of changing the situation of any game himself with his attacking batting as well as his acrobatic fielding.

He will be required to hit long sixes and clean boundaries as well as provide motivation on the field with his eye-catching fielding. If he can stay fit and provide the best version of himself as a player, Royal Challengers Banglore could be lifting the trophy by the end of the competition.

#3 Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav has had an amazing season for Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL last season. He was bowling effectively, efficiently and fast which created several problems for the opponents last season. He is regarded as one of the fastest bowlers in the world playing the moment.

Last season, finished with 20 wickets which he took in 14 innings. He continuously proved to be a problem for the opposition with his pace and was always brought in action when his team needed wickets. He was also economical with a rate of 7.86 runs per over which is considered good enough in IPL cricket.

He will be a key figure in their bowling plans as he will lead the attack. Royal Challengers Banglore will hope he continues his form of the previous season.
