Karthik might find it difficult to get back in the Test side

Wriddhiman Saha couldn't get fit in time for the series against England and it opened the floodgates for Dinesh Karthik to cement a place in the Indian Test team. Moreover, Karthik was in good touch after his last ball heroics in the Nidahas trophy final and a good IPL season for KKR.

But, unfortunately, Karthik failed to live up to the expectations. He failed terribly with the bat scoring just 21 runs in four innings. Karthik was eventually dropped from the playing XI for the fourth Test.

With Wriddhiman Saha expected to be fit for the series against West Indies and Rishabh Pant hitting a splendid maiden ton in the last Test, Karthik might be dropped from the side.
