#1 Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lanka
Kumar Sangakkara is widely considered as one of the most talented cricketers and one of the greatest wicket-keeping batsmen of all-time. He was the pinnacle of Sri Lankan cricket for almost a decade.
He was a captain, a leader, a wicket-keeper, a middle-batsman, a mentor for the Sri Lankan team. To summarize, a multi-faceted personality with deep knowledge of this beautiful game. It is not an exaggeration to say that Sri Lankan cricket has plummeted to its new low immediately after his retirement.
Kumar Sangakkara's List A career spanned for 18 years where he played for Sri Lankan National Team, Central Province, Colombo District Association, Durham, Surrey and Warwickshire.
The left-handed batsman played 528 List A matches and scored 19453 runs at an average of 43.61. He was predominantly a middle-order batsman throughout his career. He scored 39 centuries which is the most for any wicket-keeping batsman.
He effected 642 dismissals which included 518 catches and 124 stumpings.
Sri Lanka desperately needs a mentor like Sangakkara to rise from the dire straits they are in now.
