Former South Africa wicketkeeper Mark Boucher recently said that holding the SA20 League in India sometime in the future might be a good idea.

Boucher elaborated upon how important it is for countries to have their own franchise leagues as it allows them to promote young talent and give them exposure against quality opponents.

The legendary wicketkeeper, who is currently the coach of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, drew several comparisons between the two leagues. He also commended the BCCI for creating such an enthralling product.

#1 Indian players may play in it

One of the biggest draws of the SA20 League being held in India is that players of the host country may take part in it.

Gate money, which is one of the highest earners for a cricket tournament, will add a flood of revenue to Cricket South Africa if they choose to host the SA20 League in India.

India has venues that have massive capacity, and if they can fill them, a lot of revenue can be generated.

No matter what revenue-sharing program the BCCI and the CSA have in place, this will be exponentially more than what can be earned in South Africa, where the biggest ground - the Wanderers in Johannesburg - can hold just 34,000 people.
