In an interview earlier today, AB de Villiers said he will continue playing for the Titans in domestic T20s and for RCB in the IPL. “I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans, and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time,” he said.

If he can continue playing in the IPL for the next few years, he could have continued playing international cricket for the next one year only for that cup, which has perennially dodged his country. IPL 12 will end only a few days ahead of the World Cup 2019, a reason why he could have instead chosen to rest himself from the Indian T20 tournament to avoid any injuries for the World Cup. But his decision was vice versa.
